Middle of the night thoughts... listen to them

From December 10th

Just now, in the middle of the night -- I envisioned a Peacebuilding Forum, Festival, Gathering -- here in the Inland Empire, San Bernardino, in particular. Calling all hands on deck to figure out what this will look like in specifics. Is it one day? Is it a series of events throughout the area? Is it a multi-day, peacebuilding Olympics? Is it the beginning of a change in community focus for the next year, next decade?

I imagine -- a celebration of unity in our diversity, music and culture; as well as practical peacebuilding possibilities; extensive conversations on root causes of violence, both passive and physical; inviting national and global experts to provide both context and policy solutions; a segment on restorative justice in terms of healing from current tragedies and long-term historical violence of oppression, systemic discrimination, and indigenous genocide; and more....
